    LI JINGHU

    Li Jinghu travaille principalement la sculpture et l’installation. La modestie matérielle est un puissant langage vernaculaire, car il combine des techniques industrielles et des matériaux disparates pour créer une ‘historiographie’ entrelacée et continue d’un paysage. Depuis 2002, Li Jinghu a établi une pratique conceptuelle représentant la génération influente d’artistes de la Chine du Sud après les années 90. Son travail partage un lien profond avec Dongguan – la transformation incessante de cette ville, qui constitue à la fois la substance de sa vie et de son travail. Il a été témoin d’immenses changements dans la division des zones urbaines et rurales depuis son enfance, avec des observations souvent ponctuées d’un profond sentiment de perte et d’instabilité.

     

    Li Jinghu est né en 1972 à Dongguan dans la province du Guangdong (Chine). Il est diplômé du département des beaux-arts de l’université normale de Chine à Guangzhou. Il vit et travaille actuellement à Dongguan (Chine).
